The Waffle Solution

In the middle of a HOT summer, what is a cool treat that you enjoy?
Ice cream, perhaps? 

What do you think is the best way to enjoy ice cream with your friends or family?
In my opinion, that's ice cream CONE! (I prefer the light, flaky cake cones)

The first version of ice cream was invented in China in the 17th century, but the kind we know today has it's origins in Italy.

However, the ice cream cone was invented in 1904.

Prior to the "cone", ice cream was usually licked out of a small glass container, called a penny lick (sold for a penny).

During the World’s Fair in St. Louis, Missouri, one vendor was running out of cups. His neighboring vendor sold waffles and offered to roll the waffle into the shape of a cone to serve the ice cream.

Voila! The ice cream cone was born.

There's a phrase which says "necessity is the mother of invention" and I believe this story proves the point.

Someone saw a problem and used creativity to solve the solution.

I encourage you to use what is in front of you.
 ♦ Be open to solutions that are unconventional.
 ♦ God has insight and wisdom for you.

When looking for solutions, don't be afraid to try and try again.
There is no shame in experimentation, only in not trying something new.

You never know what you may create!
